Jordon Hudson has reportedly been banned from the football facilities at the University of North Carolina due to her recent controversial behavior.
The 24-year-old Hudson’s relationship with 73-year-old UNC head coach Bill Belichick made headlines across the world after their disastrous CBS interview.
The shocking incident sparked an outpouring of concern from Belichick’s family, friends and former players, with many questioning his judgment and the nature of the relationship.
The fallout continued when it was revealed that Belichick appeared at a New York book event without Hudson by his side.
This sparked rumors that the six-time Super Bowl champion was starting to distance himself from his younger partner.
To further manage the situation, Belichick reportedly enlisted the help of a public relations expert for his first major appearance following the CBS interview.
Pablo Torre, in a recent episode of his podcast, claimed that Hudson’s influence on Belichick’s UNC career was diminishing after she was banned from the school’s football facilities.
A source close to the Belichick family shared their concerns with Torre, stating, “There is deep worry for how detrimental Jordon can be for not just North Carolina but Bill’s legacy, reputation – everything he has built and worked for over decades.”
The CBS interview, which made headlines for all the wrong reasons, saw Hudson interrupt Belichick as he tried to focus on promoting his new book.
Belichick later expressed his frustration with CBS, accusing the network of using “selectively edited clips” that exaggerated Hudson’s role in the interview.
In a statement, Belichick explained, “I repeatedly expressed to the reporter, Tony Dokoupil, and the producers that I preferred to keep the conversation centered on the book.
“After this occurred several times, Jordon, with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help focus the discussion.”
CBS, however, disputed Belichick’s account, stating, “There were no preconditions or limitations to this conversation. This was confirmed repeatedly with his publisher before the interview took place and after it was completed.”
While Belichick has faced significant backlash, those close to him have said he is not overly concerned.
It was reported by Page Six that Belichick was joined by Brandon Faber, the former vice president of communications for the Chicago Bears, at his recent book event, not Hudson.
A source close to Belichick said, “Cooler heads may be starting to prevail. Her influence may be waning.”
Concern had been growing at North Carolina, especially after Hudson was spotted being hands-on at the Tar Heels’ recent spring game.
Hudson’s presence in Chapel Hill has caused friction, particularly with her reported desire to be involved in the production of the “Hard Knocks” series, which had initially been scheduled to cover Belichick’s work at the school.
Hard Knocks decided to pull the plug on the idea of covering Belichick’s program, reportedly due to Hudson and her demands.
If this new report is indeed true, we won’t be seeing the banned Hudson around UNC’s campus much – if at all.
What are your thoughts on the whole situation???
