This was evident during Saturday’s game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Atlanta Braves when umpire James Hoye showcased his love for the iconic sitcom.
The moment occurred in the top of the fifth inning when Atlanta’s Whit Merrifield launched a solo home run.
After a brief review, the ruling was upheld, confirming the homer.
As Hoye prepared to announce the decision, Los Angeles Angels announcers Wayne Randazzo and Mark Gubicza noticed something unusual.
“That’s Kramer on his shirt,” Randazzo exclaimed in surprise, pointing out the image of the Seinfeld character Cosmo Kramer on Hoye’s undershirt.
The duo couldn’t contain their amusement.
“Yes, he does,” Gubicza chimed in, confirming the sight. “That’s Cosmo Kramer!”
