Ultra-Popular NBA Champ Sentenced To 3+ Years In Prison Has Interesting Message For “The Ladies Out There”

Glen “Big Baby” Davis, the former NBA champion, is set to begin a 40-month prison sentence following his conviction in an insurance fraud scheme that also implicated several other players.

The conviction came in May after it was revealed that Davis and his co-conspirators defrauded an insurance plan designed for NBA players and their families out of nearly $5 million.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Davis shared his thoughts on his upcoming prison term, expressing a surprisingly positive outlook.

“I feel like I’m going to have good quality time in there,” the former Boston Celtics star remarked. “Learn things, meet new people. It’s going to be all right.”

Showing a light-hearted side, Davis joked about his plans to stay fit during his incarceration.

“Shout out to the ladies out there,” he said. “Write me. I’ll be in there getting fine as hell. When I get out, call me ‘Big Baby Jailbait.’”

The fraud scheme, which involved submitting false dental and medical claims to the NBA Players’ Health and Benefit Welfare Plan, resulted in the convictions of more than 20 individuals.

Among the former NBA players convicted were Terrence Williams and Will Bynum.

Notably, Williams was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in the scheme.

Davis, who was an integral part of the Celtics’ 2008 NBA championship team, also enjoyed a successful collegiate career, winning a conference championship with LSU in 2006.

His professional career also included stints with the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Clippers.

He was a fan-favorite at each stop he made but was especially beloved in Boston. (Who could ever forget the famous “Big Baby Game” ???)

Despite his legal troubles, Davis remains optimistic about his future. His ability to find humor and a positive outlook on his situation highlights his resilience as he prepares to face the challenges ahead.

What are your thoughts on Big Baby as he heads to prison?

Of course, he has no one to blame for his poor decision-making other than himself – and he will serve his time for it.

Do you think he’ll be able to turn things around when he gets out???
