SEC & Big Ten Powers Fighting For Superstar Recruit

The Michigan Wolverines have made significant strides on the recruiting trail lately, securing some key commitments in recent weeks.

The Big Ten powerhouse is hoping to keep the momentum rolling, and one player who could be heading to Ann Arbor is four-star linebacker Nick Abrams.

The talented Abrams recently revealed his final four schools, with Michigan making the cut.

“NEWS: Four-Star LB Nick Abrams is down to 4 Schools, he tells me for @on3recruits… The 6’2 220 LB from Owings Mills, MD will announce his college decision on July 16th… He’s locked in OVs to each of his finalists as well,” On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported on X.

Abrams, a standout player from McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Maryland, will soon decide between Michigan, Oregon, Alabama, and Georgia.

With his decision set for mid-July, the Wolverines are in the mix for a highly coveted recruit.

Ranked as a four-star recruit by 247Sports, Abrams is listed as the No. 227 player nationally in the 2026 class, the No. 14 linebacker, and the No. 6 player in the state of Maryland.

His status as one of the top linebackers in the country makes him an attractive prospect for any program, and Michigan is hoping to land him.

After securing several key commitments for the 2026 class, including a top quarterback, Michigan’s recruiting efforts are off to a strong start.

While the class won’t be fully shaped until the summer and fall, Abrams’ potential commitment would be a significant addition to an already promising group.

What are your thoughts on Abrams? … Do you think Sherrone Moore and company will be able to land him???
