REPORT: THIS Popular Franchise May Be Hiring Jon Gruden … Will He Be A Head Coach Again??

Jon Gruden is reportedly itching to get back in the NFL.

There are rumblings that Las Vegas Raiders owner is interesting in possibly bringing Gruden back to the Silver and Black.

However, another franchise may beat him to the punch … According to Nola.com, the New Orleans Saints are reportedly considering adding Gruden to their coaching staff this offseason.

The veteran coach, who won Super Bowl XXXVII with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2003, is friendly with Saints head coach Dennis Allen and general manager Mickey Loomis.

As important, Gruden is very close with Saints quarterback Derek Carr … Allen and Loomis most likely feel that he can bring out the best in the four-time Pro Bowler.

According to the report, Gruden spent time with Saints officials during the team’s Week 17 visit to Tampa Bay for their matchup against the Buccaneers. He reportedly attended a team meeting and dined with Saints staff members, fueling speculation about a potential partnership.

The Saints finished the 2023 season with a 9-8 record. Carr threw for 3,878 yards, 25 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Notably, Carr led the NFL with 14 passing touchdowns in the last five games of the season.

What do you think about the Saints possibly bringing Gruden onboard?

Of course, he’s been wrapped up in a lawsuit against the NFL … That may have to be resolved before he jumps back into coaching.

Looking at the big picture, do you think the 60-year-old Gruden will ever be a HEAD coach in the league again???
