Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Tee Higgins is set to hit the free agent market.
Fresh off signing Joe Burrow to a record contract, the Bengals still have plenty of work to do. It’s the only downside of building such a loaded team – the day will come that you have to pay the piper.
On such a talented team full of players that will soon need to be paid, it looks like Higgins may be the odd man out.

The Green Bay Packers season is over. Although, it’s safe to say that they certainly exceeded their expectations.
Miraculously, they actually outplayed the San Francisco 49ers for large stretches of Saturday’s 24-21 loss. I’m sure that makes the pain sting even more, but the loss is certainly something to build off of.
By all accounts, it looks like the Packers have their franchise quarterback in place. Jordan Love’s growth and development has been very strong and very encouraging.
According to reports, Love may be adding another major weapon to his arsenal with Higgins.
Evan Massey of NFL Analysis Network revealed that an anonymous former NFL executive told him that the Green Bay Packers are seriously considering making a strong run at Higgins in free agency.
“I think Green Bay is a fun one to keep an eye on. With Jordan Love, they have their guy, and they’re going to do everything in their power to put the pieces around him,” the executive said.
“They’re very happy with their wide receivers, but I actually think they’re strongly considering swinging big on a guy like Tee Higgins,” he added.
I would love it but let’s be real that is not happening in Green Bay

The Packers, known for their cautious approach to spending in free agency, appear ready to break from tradition to pursue the talented wideout.
(Wouldn’t Aaron Rodgers be thrilled to see that!)
While boasting a promising group of young weapons, including Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Luke Musgrave, and Tucker Kraft, the addition of a proven superstar like Higgins would certainly elevate the team’s offense to new heights.

Higgins, who boasts two 1,000-yard seasons and 24 career touchdowns, will certainly be in high demand come free agency.
(There’s obviously a chance he works an extension out with the Bengals – but where’s the fun in writing about that?)
Regardless, as far as the Packers are concerned, it was a rough second half of the season for the Jordan Love haters.

Ironically, the Packers passed on Higgins to draft Love in 2020.
It was a decision which angered the vast majority of Green Bay’s fan base – as well as Rodgers.
But at the end of the day, Higgins may very well be teaming up with Love to complete the full circle … Wouldn’t that be something?
My wife, a Packers fan, this morning: "Who was the first Wide Receiver drafted after Jordan Love in 2020?"
Me: "Tee Higgins to the Bengals"
Her: "…..seriously? HE was a 2nd round pick and the Packers took a backup-QB?"
Reminder: Tee Higgins at 33 was an absolute steal. pic.twitter.com/BauISD4h4V

What are your thoughts on Higgins?
Where do you think he’ll end up?
Should the Bengals work the cap and find a way to keep him in Cincinatti?
Or should the Packers do everything they can to sign him???
