If we’re being honest, Odell Beckham Jr’s famous one-handed catch against the Dallas Cowboys years ago was probably the worst thing that’s ever happened to him.
Up until that point, he had been a flashy, yet hard-working receiver who was focused on all the right things.
However, that prime-time catch in front of a national Sunday Night Football audience turned him into a celebrity superstar.
His greatest accomplishment was milking this one catch into super star status during a somewhat mediocre career.

Was it a phenomenal catch? Absolutely.
Is becoming a celebrity superstar a bad thing? Not always … But when you allow the fame to go straight to your ahead, your ego explodes, and you become focused more on “celebrity” rather than football.
That’s what happened with “OBJ.”
…. RT @RVacchianoSNY: So much for the new, 'mature' Odell Beckham: Star WR goes out of bounds and full diva by throwing Eli Manning and Pat Shurmur under the bus … https://t.co/9jlGYyWd4q pic.twitter.com/AMKNctFemJ

Beckham turned into a different person and player after that catch. He ended up running himself out of town with the New York Giants.
He then ran himself out of town with the Cleveland Browns.
Cant wait to watch it all crumble in CLE. No way a relationship can work when you spend the first 6 months talking about your ex.. it's just a matter of time. The more he talks the smarter DG looks. Biggest diva in sports history. Cant see that playing well in blue collar CLE.

To his credit, he seemed to humble himself when he was picked up by Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams.
He was off to a great start in the Super Bowl against the Cincinnati Bengals before he tore his ACL.

The Rams weren’t interested in keeping him – and after no team met his sky-high contract demands, he ended up signing with the Baltimore Ravens where he spent last season.
Beckham had a disappointing 2023 season as it became evident that the level of speed and explosion he once had was long gone.
The Ravens released him earlier this week.

As far as what the future holds for OBJ is anyone’s best guess.
He reportedly wants to join the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs on a “huge contract.”
BREAKING: Star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. would like to play for the Kansas City #Chiefs, per @MailOnline.
“Odell wants a huge contract that has tons of money behind it and years attached to it because this is likely his last contract in the #NFL.” pic.twitter.com/LV73YCGrF0

If the report is true, it just speaks to how delusional Beckham is … To think that any team will give him a “huge contract” is as out-of-touch as it gets.
Never mind the fact that the Chiefs can’t exactly afford any “huge contracts” right now.
New Headline “ Social media famous Odell Beckham Jr would like to play for the Chiefs. The Wide Receiver wants a huge contract but hasn’t been a top 60 player at his position in 5 years” https://t.co/yGY2NgU2GW

However, despite winning back-to-back Super Bowls, Kansas City still does have a glaring need for wide receivers.
In other words, Beckham on a cheap contract would make a ton of sense for Kansas City … It would truly be a win-win for both sides.
The Chiefs would be getting a veteran on a (theoretically) reasonable contract at a position of need.
While Beckham would be joining a mature, winning organization with clear-cut standards to help him stay in-line.
He would have a realistic chance to finally win a ring and prove to the world that football can be his priority.
At 31-years-old with his injury history, this may very well be his last chance in the league.
he should do it what a foursome that would make….make a great vid….oh kim has already done that!

It’s very on-brand for OBJ to think that he can name his next team (never mind that team being the best in the league), and also reportedly state that he wants a “huge contract” from them.
However, a Chiefs-Beckham pairing (on a reasonable contract) does make sense.
Should the #Chiefs sign Odell Beckham Jr. at this point??? 🤔@DariusJButler @heykayadams pic.twitter.com/2NWzf2BTAv

What are your thoughts on the report?
Would the Chiefs be a good fit for Beckham?
What type of contract is he truly deserving of?
How much does he have left in the tank???
