Two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani sent shockwaves through the baseball world when he signed a record-breaking ten-year, $700 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The previous record for largest contract was held by Ohtani’s former teammate Mike Trout, whose total deal amounted to $426.5 million.
Ohtani’s new contract blows past that mark by a staggering margin.
The way he structured the deal, with the vast majority of it being backloaded is quite clever. It will allow the Dodgers to spread money around and field the best team they possibly can.
Ohtani’s personal life has largely been a mystery … However, we recently found out that he was reportedly dating model Kamalani Dung.
Kamalani Dung, a right-handed softball pitcher from Hawaii, gained attention for her skills on the diamond.
She graduated from Kamehameha Kapalama High School, where she served as team captain and ace pitcher, securing three Division I conference titles.
After starting at Fresno State, she transferred to UC Berkeley in 2017 to pursue a sociology major.
