New Details Emerge Following Yankees Brutal Injury Blow

The New York Yankees suffered one of their most inexplicable losses of the season last night as they fell to the MLB-worst Chicago White Sox by the score of 12-2.

Standing at 70-50, the Bombers now trail the Baltimore Orioles by a 1/2 game in the American League East.

Making matters worse was the fact that third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. exited the game with a left elbow injury.

The Yankees announced that Chisholm will undergo additional imaging today to assess the exact extent of the damage.

Since his recent trade from the Miami Marlins, Chisholm has quickly made an impact with the Yankees. He is batting .296 over 14 games with the team and has committed only one error at third base.

He’s added a ton of energy to the club and has fit in flawlessly to this point.

The Yankees and their fans are hopeful that the injury will prove to be minor, allowing Chisholm to return to the lineup swiftly.

Chisholm, who had spent his entire Major League Baseball career with the Marlins since debuting in 2020, has been a significant addition to the Yankees’ roster.

Despite a challenging start in his rookie season, Chisholm showed marked improvement in 2021 and has continued to excel.

The Yankees acquired Chisholm by trading three prospects, and he has quickly become an essential part of their push towards the playoffs.

With the type of season the Orioles are having, it’s clear that the AL East may very well come down to the wire.

In other words, we should have a good old-fashioned race on our hands which means plenty of meaningful baseball over the remainder of the season.

Just how valuable do you think Chisholm is to the Yankees? … Are you worried that the injury might be more serious than it initially seems???
