Ex-Auburn Tigers Quarterback Nick Marshall Faces Arrest Charges

Former Auburn Tigers quarterback Nick Marshall has found himself in legal trouble, as he was arrested on Thursday in Columbus, Georgia, on a weapons charge. The arrest took place after police stopped the vehicle Marshall was driving at the intersection of 35th Street and River Road. During the stop, law enforcement discovered a modified automatic handgun in the car, leading to felony gun possession charges for both Marshall and Lanequa Breshay Borders, 32.

Marshall, who played as the starting quarterback for the SEC team in 2013, was a key figure in the memorable season that culminated in the Auburn Tigers reaching the BCS National Championship Game, where they faced off against Florida State.

While Marshall’s collegiate career was notable, his transition to the professional league was relatively brief. The recent arrest adds a legal complication to his post-football journey.
