Deion Sanders Says THESE Are The Only 6 Teams He Wants His Son & Travis Hunter To Play For … Start Of A Dangerous Trend??

Deion Sanders is one of the greatest and most popular football figures of all-time.

Following his legendary playing career that saw him wind up in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, “Prime” went on to become a respected analyst – and now an inspiration college football coach.

While Sanders has produced more bark than bite thus far in his early coaching career, there’s no denying how respected he is among both players and fans of all ages.

Entering his second season as head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, Prime will look to rebound from a disappointing 2023 season that ended on a disastrous six-game losing streak and 1-8 finish in the final season of the Pac-12 conference.

Now in the Big 12, Sanders’ Buffs will be led by a pair of dark-horse Heisman Trophy candidates – quarterback (and son) Shedeur and two-way star Travis Hunter.

Opinions vary greatly on Shedeur … Some analysts view him as an elite quarterback who will surely transition into a franchise QB at the NFL level. While others think he’s overrated and a product of hype and poor competition.

Meanwhile, Hunter is widely-recognized as a unique talent, capable of playing both cornerback and wide receiver at an All-American level.

Realistically, Hunter will most likely have to stick with one position when he gets to the NFL. Most people think he will inevitably become a full-time cornerback at the next level.

Both Sanders and Hunter are expected to be selected relatively high in next year’s NFL Draft.

As for Deion, he’s not doing his two stars any favors by publicly stating that there are only six NFL teams he prefers them (and his other son, Shilo) to play for.

As for who those “lucky” six teams are…

-Dallas Cowboys

-San Francisco 49ers

-Washington Commanders

-Baltimore Ravens

-Atlanta Falcons

-Philadelphia Eagles

Of course, Prime played for the first five teams on the list. While he never played for the Eagles, he respects their front office and the culture they’ve built.

Although Deion may not be aware that the Eagles just gave quarterback Jalen Hurts a record-breaking contract a year ago. (Similar situations for the majority of the other teams on his list as well.)

Perhaps he just wants his son to hold a clipboard on the sidelines his whole career???

Notably, Deion contradicted himself a bit. He previously stated that he doesn’t want Shedeur playing in a cold-weather NFL city.

While Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington may not be Green Bay or Buffalo, none of those cities resemble Miami Beach come post-Thanksgiving.

Needless to say, all the focus in the football world is currently on next week’s draft.

It’s way too early to look ahead to the 2025 class, especially on the day when the controversial spring transfer portal opened.

However, Deion has gone on the record predicting that Shedeur will be drafted “anywhere from one through four” overall next year.

What are your thoughts on Deion stating that there’s only six teams he wants Shedeur, Shilo and Hunter to play for?

Of course, Deion has absolutely no say in the matter … One of the greatest honors you could achieve is to be drafted into the NFL, no matter who picks you.

Do you think Deion is doing more harm than good by saying such things?

Are you worried that we’re headed towards a future where players can – at least in a small way – try and pick and choose where they want to play in the NFL???
