Matt Chapman boasts an impressive track record, having won four Gold Glove awards, including one in 2023. He aligns perfectly with the Cubs’ desire for strong defensive play in the infield. Additionally, Chapman has shown his offensive prowess, with a career slash line of .240/.329/.461 and an OPS+ of 117. He has consistently hit 20 or more home runs in four out of his seven seasons and driven in 50 or more runs in five of those years.
