Clemson Football Quarterback Cade Klubnik Provides Important Injury Update After Notre Dame Victory

Clemson football managed a crucial victory in Week 10, triumphing over Notre Dame with a score of 31-23. Despite the win, quarterback Cade Klubnik had to overcome a foot injury during the game. His performance included 109 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception on 13 completions out of 26 attempts. While not a standout performance, Klubnik shared that his foot was feeling remarkably healthy following the game.

In Klubnik’s words, “My foot feels great. I felt 100% today. Just kind of handled it. Handled it, what the coaches told me to do and what the trainers told me to do. But I feel great.”

Even though Klubnik’s performance has faced criticism this season, as he was highly regarded coming in, Coach Dabo Swinney remains steadfast in his belief that Klubnik has the potential to become a star. Swinney addressed the naysayers with a passionate message:

“He’s had a bunch of good plays. He’s had a few tough plays along the way. He’s growing,” said Dabo Swinney. “I think this kid is going to be amazing. It’s disappointing. Again, when we attack these kids, these people that sit behind these microphones — they get off by attacking people. And we’ve just made that acceptable in our world, it’s sad, man. Just sad.”

As Clemson looks ahead to Week 11, they hope that Cade Klubnik can continue his development and deliver a strong performance. The Tigers have remaining matchups against Georgia Tech, UNC, and South Carolina this season.
