CFB World Shocked By Controversial College GameDay Decision

This weekend, Marshawn Lynch will take on the role of celebrity picker on College Gameday, making his predictions for Saturday’s Week 6 college football matchups alongside the show’s regular cast.

The show will broadcast live from Berkeley, California, where the California Golden Bears are set to face the No. 8 Miami Hurricanes at 10:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.

Lynch, who played at Cal from 2004 to 2006, led the Pac-10 in rushing during his final year, amassing 223 carries for 1,356 yards and 11 touchdowns.

He was named the Pac-10 Player of the Year that season.

Over his college career, Lynch accumulated 490 carries for 3,230 yards and 29 touchdowns before being selected No. 12 overall in the 2007 NFL Draft.

In his NFL career, Lynch established himself as one of the top running backs of the 2010s, surpassing 1,000 rushing yards in six of his 12 NFL seasons.

He completed his career with 2,453 carries, 10,413 rushing yards, and 85 touchdowns, earning a place on the Hall of Fame All-2010s Team.

Lynch was a vital part of the Seattle Seahawks team that won Super Bowl XLVIII. He was nearly unstoppable in short-yardage situations and led the league in rushing touchdowns in both 2013 and 2014.

The Cal Golden Bears are looking to pull off an upset against the No. 8 Hurricanes, with Miami entering the game as a 10-point favorite.

The Canes come into the matchup with a perfect 5-0 record, while Cal stands at 3-1, with their only defeat being against Florida State.

Miami’s offense is spearheaded by Heisman candidate Cam Ward, who has an impressive completion rate of 70.2%, totaling 1,782 yards and 18 touchdown passes over five games.

Ward has thrown for over 300 yards and at least three touchdowns in every game this season.

On the other hand, Cal has beaten Auburn, San Diego State, and UC Davis. However, facing Miami will be the toughest challenge yet for Lynch’s alma mater, as they aim to pull off what would be a significant upset.

What are your thoughts on Lynch being named the celebrity guest picker for College GameDay’s first-ever trip to Cal? … Do you think he will be able to keep his comentary clean?

Do you agree with GameDay’s decision to take the show to Berkeley? … There aren’t a ton of major matchups tomorrow, but would you have preferred for a different site to be chosen?

As for the actual game, do you give Cal any chance of pulling off the upset???
