CeeDee Lamb Involved In Heated Exchange With Cowboys Legend … Should Dallas Consider Trading Him??

Most of the attention surrounding the Dallas Cowboys is focused on Dak Prescott and his contract situation.

However, it’s no secret that All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has a contract situation of his own that will soon need addressing.

While Lamb is doing his best not to overdramatize it, it’s safe to say the situation is on his mind as we near the start of training camp.

One bit of drama Lamb did find himself in came in the way of a bizarre social media exchange with former Cowboys receiver Cole Beasley.

The exchange began when Beasley commented on a video posted on X, showcasing some of Lamb’s offseason workouts.

Beasley’s initial critique drew further attention when he elaborated in response to a user who questioned his advice to a player as accomplished as Lamb.

“Give me 180 targets off the couch and I eclipse 1000,” Beasley wrote.

“Stop looking at stats and check the tape. As far as getting open goes…I’m confident I did that with the best of them.”

This prompted Lamb to respond directly to Beasley.

“I don’t need 180 targets to touch a band,” Lamb replied on X.

“Pull up tape, I’d match you route for route on getting open. Just Chill.”

Beasley then clarified his intentions to the sensitive Lamb.

“I never said you did,” he responded. “Just some perspective for the fans.”

Despite Beasley’s efforts to diffuse the situation, it’s apparent that he wasn’t trying to undermine Lamb’s achievements.

Beasley, who recorded 556 receptions for 5,744 yards and 34 touchdowns during his 11-season career with the Cowboys, Bills, and Buccaneers, was simply defending his own reputation after being criticized for offering public advice to Lamb.

Nevertheless, Lamb’s response indicates that he is not open to commentary on his performance or training regimen from former or current players, regardless of their intentions.

Over his four years in Dallas, Lamb has put up enormous stats. He’s hauled in 395 receptions for 5,145 yards and 32 touchdowns. He’s made the Pro Bowl three times and was named All-Pro twice.

What are your thoughts on the back-and-forth between Lamb and Beasley?

Do you think Lamb was being way too sensitive?

More importantly, what do you think ends up happening with his contract situation?

Will he and the Cowboys end up coming to an agreement on an extension? … Or should Dallas explore the possibility of trading him???
