Carson Beck Disrespect Reaches New Heights After Latest Snub

Georgia quarterback Carson Beck may have some thoughts on his recent ranking in 247Sports’ college football QB list for the upcoming 2024 season.

While Beck is currently the favorite to not only win the Heisman Trophy but also be the #1 pick in next April’s NFL Draft, he landed third in Brad Crawford’s quarterback rankings for 247Sports.

Beck trails behind Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Ole Miss’s Jaxson Dart on the list.

Although ranking third out of over 100 starting quarterbacks is a significant achievement, Beck’s placement might raise eyebrows considering his accomplishments and future projections.

Beck outperformed both Sanders and Dart in nearly every metric in 2023 and is expected to be even better this season.

Crawford himself acknowledged Beck’s potential, stating, “Beck should be QB1 for 2025.”

In his analysis, Crawford praised Beck’s performance in critical moments for Georgia, noting his nearly 4,000 passing yards in his debut season as a starter.

Beck shined in crucial games against nationally-ranked teams like Kentucky, Missouri, Ole Miss, and Tennessee, demonstrating his ability to perform under pressure.

“Outlook: With 24 touchdown passes and a completion rate at 72.4%, Carson Beck nearly eclipsed 4,000 yards through the air during his first campaign as Georgia’s starter and saved many of his best games when it mattered most for the Bulldogs, highlighted by sparkling outings against then nationally-ranked Kentucky, Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee,” Crawford stated.

“Beck declined an opportunity to enter the 2024 NFL Draft to return for another year in Athens, which makes Georgia one of the playoff frontrunners in the expansion era. The Bulldogs have plenty of weapons around him, too. Beck should be QB1 for 2025.”

Here’s a look at the top 25 quarterbacks in college football according to Crawford…
