Boise State standout running back Ashton Jeanty is generating plenty of buzz ahead of Thursday night’s NFL Draft, with many experts projecting him to be selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the No. 6 pick. But what does Jeanty himself think about his draft prospects?

In a recent interview, Jeanty expressed confidence that the highest he might be picked is indeed that No. 6 spot, unless another team makes a move to jump ahead of the Raiders. “I think the earliest that I will go is No. 6, that’s my belief,” Jeanty said. “That would be the Raiders at that pick or somebody else trading up to get in front of them possibly. I think that’s what’s going to happen.”

Looking further down the draft board, Jeanty also shared his expectations for his latest possible selection, eyeing the No. 12 pick currently held by the Dallas Cowboys. He’s had discussions with the Cowboys, even meeting the team’s owner, Jerry Jones, which could bolster their interest in bringing him on board if he’s still available at that point.

On top of that, there are whispers circulating about the Jacksonville Jaguars potentially selecting Jeanty with their No. 5 pick, an indication that he might even go off the board earlier than he anticipates.

Regardless of which team calls his name on draft night, it looks like Jeanty’s journey in the NFL is set to begin within the Top 10 or Top 12. Expect this dynamic running back to make a significant impact on whichever franchise secures his talents—his explosive playing style is sure to energize the running game and could become a key asset in the coming seasons. Keep an eye on this young star as the draft unfolds!
