Alabama Legend Reveals Cruel Iron Bowl Punishment

In a new and let’s just say interesting twist to one of college football’s most iconic games, former Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron has disclosed an unexpected post-game incident following the 2013 Iron Bowl.

Of course, that epic Iron Bowl will be remembered forever for its electrifying ending. (Sorry to bring it back up, Bama fans.)

As it turned out, the devastating defeat led to one of the cruelest locker room pranks in college football history.

McCarron shared the story during an appearance on the McCready & Siskey podcast, shedding light on the fallout for Alabama’s kicker, Cade Foster, whose missed field goals set the stage for one of the most unforgettable plays in sports history: the “Kick-Six.”

With just seconds remaining, Auburn’s Chris Davis caught Alabama’s last-second, missed field goal attempt and returned it 109 yards for a game-winning touchdown, sealing Auburn’s victory in spectacular fashion.

The play sent Auburn fans into a frenzy as they stormed the field to celebrate the stunning win.

But while the game became an instant classic, what happened in Alabama’s locker room afterward remained unknown – until now…

McCarron recalled that Cade Foster, who missed three critical field goals before being replaced by Adam Griffith, faced backlash from teammates for his performance.

Griffith’s own attempt to win the game also missed, leading to Davis’s legendary return. But according to McCarron, the team’s frustration with Foster led to a startling form of retribution.

“Cade is a great dude, love him to death, but not a very good kicker,” McCarron said. “He showed up Sunday, the next day, and we’re doing our sprints, and he goes to put his shoe on in the locker room and all you hear is ‘aww, what’s this, who did this?’ and everyone starts coming around.

“He pulls his white sock out of his shoe, and it’s covered in sht … Somebody done sht in his shoe and filled it up.”

The bizarre incident, as McCarron explained, involved a teammate defiling Foster’s shoe in an apparent protest of his poor performance during the Iron Bowl.

Coach Nick Saban addressed the situation during a team meeting, attempting to identify the prankster, though no one came forward, leaving the culprit’s identity a mystery to this day.

“I remember going into the team meeting and somebody said, I think it was Saban, was like ‘somebody better fcking confess to this sht in the shoe, we’re not going to have this sht and if you don’t want to come fcking confess I’m going to get samples and test everybody’s DNA!'”

Needless to say, in the years since the 2013 upset, Alabama has regained control of the rivalry, winning eight of the last ten Iron Bowl matchups, including the last four in a row.

Perhaps the prank/punishment is the reason why the Tide were able to get things back on track.

Regardless, what are your thoughts on the insane story? … What’s the most epic prank you’ve ever witnessed or heard about???
