WATCH: Urban Meyer’s Brutally Honest Take On The Alabama-FSU Playoff Controversy … Did The Noles Get Screwed??

In the wake of the College Football Playoff selection committee’s controversial decision to exclude undefeated ACC champion Florida State, heated debates have raged on for the past week.

The “snub” of Florida State has split the college football world in two, with half the people thinking the Seminoles deserved to be in, while the other half are more than fine with the more competitive Alabama Crimson Tide getting the nod.

You can count the legendary Urban Meyer in the camp of the latter.

On the latest episode of “Urban Analysis,” the former head coach weighed in on the contentious issue … When asked if he believed the committee made the right call, Meyer responded with a perspective that may not sit well with Florida State fans.

“I do. I think there’s fantastic matchups. I’m fired up to watch it,” Meyer stated. “It’s an imperfect system, but the 13-member committee got it right.”

Meyer acknowledged the impact of Florida State’s quarterback Jordan Travis’ injury, attributing the snub to the team’s struggles in his absence.

“One of the best players in the country, Jordan Travis, had a horrific injury at the end of the season. With the backup in there, it wasn’t even close. They were playing wildcat the majority of the time. Unavailability of players made a difference.”

In a public rebuke of the committee’s decision, Florida State head coach Mike Norvell expressed his frustration and disbelief.

“I am disgusted and infuriated with the committee’s decision today to have what was earned on the field taken away because a small group of people decided they knew better than the results of the games,” Norvell exclaimed. “What is the point of playing games?”

Did the committee get it right?

Or did Florida State get screwed?

Looking at the four-team field, what is your prediction for the Playoff???
