One of the biggest stories of the week was the undefeated Florida State Seminoles being denied a Playoff spot.
Everyone has had an opinion on the matter.
Some believe that it was ludicrous that the Noles were denied a Playoff spot – especially since they ran the table, won the ACC, and did absolutely everything that was asked of them.
However, there are others, such as LSU head coach Brian Kelly who weren’t too surprised that the committee locked the Noles out of a spot.
“We played Florida State and we played Alabama, two outstanding football teams. But the two football teams were different at the end of the season than they were at the start of the season,” Kelly explained.
“So, I think that from my perspective, unfortunately, Florida State was not the same team earlier in the year than they were later in the year because of the injury to the quarterback.”

As Kelly mentioned, his Tigers played the Seminoles to kick off the season – and we all remember how that went…

He also mentioned Florida State losing their star quarterback Jordan Travis to a season-ending injury.
Unfortunately, it was that injury which surely kept them out of the Playoff.
“Devastated. heartbroken. In so much disbelief rn. I wish my leg broke earlier in the season so y’all could see this team is much more than the quarterback. I thought results matter. 13-0 and this roster matches up across any team in those top 4 rankings. I am so sorry. Go Noles,” Travis tweeted after learning they were left without a seat at the dance.

What are your thoughts on Florida State getting shut out?
Do you agree with the committee’s top-four teams?
Without Travis, would Florida State have a prayer against any of the four? Or Georgia, Ohio State or Oregon for that matter? … (Didn’t think so.)
Looking at the big picture, who will win the national title???
FSU should have left the ACC years ago. They wouldnt have this problem right now.
