Injuries can strike even the best athletes, and the Golden State Warriors’ Andrew Wiggins is no exception.
Wiggins will be sidelined tonight due to an unusual mishap – he jammed his index finger in a car door this morning.
Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr anticipated Wiggins’ absence, noting that it’s likely to be a short-term injury.

Despite some struggles this season, Wiggins recently delivered an impressive performance with 29 points and 10 rebounds in a close loss to the Sacramento Kings.
For the season, his stats have dipped, averaging a career-low 12.8 points, 1.2 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game. His shooting percentages have also declined, with 43.3% from the field, 26.7% from beyond the arc, and 59.3% from the free-throw line.
The Warriors, currently standing at 8-10 and 11th in the Western Conference, will face the Los Angeles Clippers tonight at 10 p.m. ET.
