This change comes during a unique season for Altuve, who at 34 years old is making his debut as a left fielder after spending the first 14 years of his career firmly entrenched at second base.

Altuve candidly explained that his transition to left field has presented a challenge in terms of preparation time before stepping up to the plate. “I just need like 10 more seconds,” he stated, emphasizing the longer path from the outfield to the dugout compared to his old position.
