Sherrone Moore, previously the offensive coordinator for the Michigan Wolverines, has officially stepped into the role of head coach, succeeding the departed Jim Harbaugh.
Harbaugh cemented his legacy in Michigan history after leading J.J. McCarthy and the Wolverines on an undefeated national title run last season.
Harbaugh accomplished his ultimate goal in Ann Arbor. Now off to the NFL (again), the reigns to the Michigan program have been handed off to the popular Moore.
Since his appointment, Moore has maintained a low profile, avoiding comments that could fuel the fire for the Wolverines’ upcoming opponents this fall.
However, Moore broke that mold over the weekend with a pair of cryptic posts on X.
The first post featured a pair of googly eyes, a blue circle, and an ‘M’ shaped emoji, all accompanied by the hashtag #GoBlue.
The second post mirrored the first but added an extra pair of googly eyes and an additional blue circle, ending with the same hashtag.
These mysterious posts have sparked significant speculation among the Michigan fanbase.
Many believe they hint at imminent commitments from recruits for the 2025 class, given the Wolverines’ recent success on the recruiting trail…

Interestingly, Moore’s social media activity coincided with the ongoing recruitment saga of Taz Williams, a highly-touted four-star player from Red Oak, TX.
Williams is reportedly choosing between Penn State and Michigan, though recent speculation suggests he may be leaning towards Penn State despite earlier predictions favoring Michigan.
Whether Moore’s posts have anything to do with Williams or not, we should soon find out.
Either way, Michigan fans are circling the wagons with excitement as they hope Moore will be able to carry on the success started by Harbaugh.
