Non-Stop Rumors Continue To Swirl Regarding Just How Serious Dak Prescott’s Injury Is … Could It Derail His Contract Year??

All of the constant Dak Prescott rumors don’t seem to be going away.

While we know all about his contract situation, the more pressing concern is the mystery surrounding the injury he’s currently dealing with.

Last week, Prescott was spotted in a walking boot and that caused great concern with some.

Insiders such as Ian Rapoport from the NFL Network downplayed the walking boot story and reported that Prescott is only dealing with a “very minor foot sprain.”

Rapoport added that the injury shouldn’t affect his preparation for the upcoming season.

However, not everyone is so quick to wipe away the concern.

While appearing on the Ross Tucker podcast, NFL betting expert Steve Fezzik pointed out that some sharps believe the injury is more serious than what’s being let on.

“News is, he’s (Dak Prescott) not 100%, and they’ve been betting against the Cowboys the last three days,” Fezzik said.

Fezzik advised caution, noting that this information should be taken with a grain of salt.

However, he also pointed out that the betting community’s actions have led to a drop in the over/under on the Cowboys’ total wins for the season.

Forgetting about the severity of the injury for a minute – one of the biggest storylines of the entire 2024 NFL season is the fact that Prescott will be entering the final year of his contract.

Of course, that could change if he and the Cowboys are able to agree on an extension, but there’s a very real chance that he plays this season on an expiring contract.

Prescott is undoubtedly one of the most polarizing players in the entire league.

While that just comes with the territory when you’re the starting quarterback for “America’s Team,” Dak’s case is certainly an interesting one.

In many ways, he’s very much underrated. After all, he’s become (for the most part) a rock-solid quarterback and has led the Cowboys to consistent success in the regular season.

However, Dallas fans don’t want to hear about the regular season. We all know the name of the game is to win in the PLAYOFFS – and that’s precisely where Prescott routinely shrinks.

To Prescott’s credit, he has been nothing but a loyal soldier who has always said and done all the right things both on and off the field.

While the same can’t always be said for some of his family members, Prescott has always taken accountability and has never once embarrassed the organization.

That certainly counts for something in Jerry Jones’ book.

Just recently, Prescott expressed his pure passion for football and made it clear where his true priorities lie.

“I don’t play for money. Never have. Never cared for it, to be honest with you, yeah. Would give it up just to play this game.”

Now, I think we can all agree that Prescott might have gotten just a tad carried away with that comment … Of course he cares about money. But we know what he meant.

The Cowboys are set to begin training camp in just two weeks (!!!).

What are your thoughts on Dak’s overall situation as we enter the new season?

Do you believe his injury is more serious that what’s being let on?

What will end up happening with his contract situation? … Will he reach an agreement on an extension before the start of the season?

Or would Jones and the Cowboys be wise to let him play out the year and find out once and for all if he can (TRULY) be their franchise quarterback???
