Apple TV’s “The Dynasty” was the most revealing peak-behind-the-curtain at the New England Patriots dynasty that we’ve ever seen.
Having said that, the documentary still had plenty of critics. Most of the negative feedback came from Patriots fans (and players) who felt the documentary didn’t tell the whole story and resembled Robert Kraft propaganda more than actual reality.
One of the main complaints was how poorly and unfairly head coach Bill Belichick was portrayed in the series.
Amazingly no mention of the Orchids of Asia Day Spa.

Another interesting critique came in Episode 9 of the ten-part series, titled “Breaking Point.” The episode touched on the Patriots infamous loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII.
Fans couldn’t help but notice that Al Michaels’ iconic call of the famous “Philly Special” play was curiously edited.
In reality, Michaels’ actual call was: “Caught, Foles, touchdown!”
However, in the documentary, the call was edited to: “Caught, touchdown!”

There have long been rumors that Tom Brady despises Nick Foles, which made fans wonder if Brady had Foles’ name edited out in the scene.
Obviously, that would be extremely petty if true, however Brady has been known to do some pretty petty things through the years as all great competitors have.

Notably, Brady refused to shake Foles’ hand after losing that Super Bowl to him, opting to quickly run off the field instead.
No one could blame Brady if that was just a moment of frustration. After all, the obsession over buddy-buddy handshakes with opposing teams has gotten way out of control.
However, what added fuel to the fire was that Brady once again refused to shake Foles’ hand three years later in 2020 when he was a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Foles was with the Chicago Bears.

“I didn’t even think about that,” Brady said after the 2020 game. “I think Nick Foles is a hell of a player and a Super Bowl champ. I don’t know one reason or another why I wouldn’t do that. Sometimes I run off the field, sometimes I haven’t.”
To his credit, Foles completely downplayed the situation and made it clear he wasn’t bothered.
“I didn’t cry at all,” Foles said when asked about the repeated snubs. “I think that it wasn’t the first time it happened, and I sort of laughed it off and just sort of moved on with my life and I’m sure he’s just doing the same thing.”
“You know it’s happened a few times and I’m sure that some day Tom and I will have a great conversation about it and probably just laugh at it,” he added.

Despite what they say publicly, many fans think there’s plenty of truth to the Brady-Foles feud.

Sure, editing happens all the time, especially as a tool to save time … However, that doesn’t apply here because removing Foles’ name saved less than a single second.
