“I WANT TO BE A PART OF THIS SO BAD”: Jason Kelce Admits He Is Considering ENDING His Retirement … Is He Coming Back?!?

Could Jason Kelce be ending perhaps the shortest retirement in the history of retirements???

Following his extremely emotional retirement press conference, it seemed certain that Kelce was at-peace with hanging up his cleats and assumingly picking up a network microphone.

However, Kelce is already expressing regret.

He admitted that it wasn’t easy retiring off such a nightmare season. After starting 10-1, the 2023 Eagles suffered one of the worst nose-dives in NFL history.

Kelce knows there was no urgency for him to retire. It was completely up to him. After all, he was STILL considered the best center in all of football this past season.

But sure enough, he decided it was time.

However, in this week’s episode of his “New Heights” podcast, Kelce told his brother Travis that the Eagles signing running back Saquon Barkley has given him an itch to return.

“Saquon Barkley signing with Philadelphia. How ‘bout this? Huge, huge signing for Philadelphia. And I’m happy for Saquon. I’m not trying to talk trash, but you’re coming to a team that’s had a legitimate offensive line established for a very long time,” Kelce said.

“I could not be more bullish. We talked about it last week – this is what I’m regretting. I knew when I retired that I was going to miss just an outstanding season for the Philadelphia Eagles. It sucks, it really does. I want to be a part of this so bad. I wish I could,” he said.

Well, just so Kelce knows – I’m sure Nick Sirianni and the Eagles would welcome him back with open arms…

“Social media has been nonstop like, ‘Jason, you sure you want to retire?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, pretty positive.’ Even though little upset Howie [Roseman] waited until I retired to make a move like this! But it’s fine. It’ll work out great,” Kelce added.

Despite his regrets, Kelce seems to stand by his decision to retire, which was a culmination of years of contemplation.

The Eagles offseason is off to a great start as they try to shed the stink of the 2023 season.

Kelce, hesitantly content with his decision to retire, is glad he’ll be able to enjoy everything as a fan.

“It doesn’t suck in the way that I get to still be like, ‘Hey, I’m a Philadelphian.’ I get to watch it and celebrate it just like everyone else. So I’m excited for that,” he concluded.

What are your thoughts on Kelce’s decision to retire?

Despite what he says, do you think there’s ANY chance he comes back? … Perhaps when we get closer to training camp and he starts to feel the itch?

As far as the Eagles are concerned, what are your thoughts on their offseason so far?

Did they overpay for Barkley?

What else do they need to do to ensure that 2023 never happens again???
