Just when it was thought that Antonio Pierce and the Las Vegas Raiders would be hiring former Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury as their new offensive coordinator, the deal abruptly fell apart.
There are conflicting reports about what exactly happened in Vegas. It most likely has to do with contract details.
Regardless, the end result is Dan Quinn and the Washington Commanders swooping in to grab Kingsbury as their new OC.

Kingsbury spent this past season as an offensive assistant on Lincoln Riley’s staff at USC where he worked closely with quarterback Caleb Williams.
Of course, Williams is considered the favorite to be drafted first overall in this April’s draft.
Interestingly, Williams took to social media to express his support of the Commanders hiring his old coach…
“My dawg congrats,” Williams posted on Instagram.

The football world is wondering if Kingsbury’s hire means Washington will attempt to draft Williams.
The Chicago Bears own the first overall pick in the draft. They have a major decision to make with their current quarterback, Justin Fields.
As owner of the second overall pick, if the Commanders are dead-set on drafting Williams, they may very well have to trade up with the Bears to ensure they get him.

What are your thoughts on Washington hiring Kingsbury?
Should they trade up for Williams?
Or are they better off staying put at #2 and drafting Drake Maye, who may very well turn out to be better than Williams anyways???
