It seems the career of one of the NFL’s biggest defensive names may be coming to an unexpected end.
Jamal Adams, once a defensive star, has faced a string of injury setbacks that now have the football world wondering if he may walk away from the game for good at the young age of 28.
Adams, who was traded from the New York Jets to the Seattle Seahawks in July of 2020, was expected to be a game-changer for the Seahawks. However, he has largely been a disappointment and never became the dominant game-changer that many projected him to become.
It’s OFFICIAL

The safety has missed multiple games each year since joining the Seahawks, leading to growing concerns about the toll on his body and questions about how much he has left in the tank.
Adding to the speculation that he may be retiring, Adams posted a highlight reel of himself on social media – almost as if he was saying goodbye to football…
BREAKING: 3x Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams appears to be contemplating retirement as he is posting his career highlights from his time with the #Jets & #Seahawks.
The former LSU star has been fantastic when staying on the field which has been a struggle.

Adams has appeared in just 10 games over the past two seasons – recording only 51 tackles and not a single sack or interception.
With two years and $34 million remaining on the four-year, $70 million extension he signed in 2021, Adams currently holds the title of the NFL’s highest-paid safety.
However, none of the remaining amount is guaranteed, and with a new coaching regime taking over in Seattle, it’s safe to say Adams’ future is very much in doubt.
I have a feeling Jamal Adams reconstructs his contract, stays one more year and leaves. I think Mike MacDonald will have a impact on if he stays or not

He’s scheduled to count more than $26.9 million against the salary cap next season, which isn’t ideal for the Seahawks.
It makes you wonder what the hell were they thinking dishing out that contract in the first replace…
Regardless, cutting him this offseason would incur over $20 million in dead money, further complicating the team’s upcoming decision.
yes, mike macdonald is a genius
no, he can't turn jamal adams into kyle hamilton

What do you think the future holds for Adams?
Does he have anything left in the tank?
Will he indeed retire? … Or do you think he was just trying to get attention by posting his highlight reel???
