#1 Ranked Athlete Reveals Final Six Teams As Decision Nears

The battle is heating up for one of the most dynamic playmakers in the 2026 recruiting class.

Brandon Arrington – a five-star standout from Mount Miguel High School in Spring Valley, California – has announced his final six college choices, and it’s a who’s who of powerhouse programs.

Alabama, Texas A&M, Georgia, Oregon, Penn State, and USC are officially in the running for the No. 1 athlete in the nation.

At 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, Arrington isn’t just the top-ranked athlete in the 2026 class – he’s also the No. 1 player in California and sits at No. 8 overall nationally, according to the 247Sports.

But it’s not just the football world buzzing about Arrington’s potential. He’s a star on the track as well, having captured California state titles in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash in 2024.

He posted blazing personal bests of 10.27 seconds in the 100 and 20.40 in the 200, placing him among the fastest high school sprinters in the country.

On the football field, his versatility is impressive to say the least.

Offensively, Arrington hauled in 31 receptions for 527 yards and five touchdowns, while also adding a rushing score on five carries for 52 yards. On the defensive side, he notched 26 tackles, one interception, and three pass breakups.

The six schools in contention each bring serious recruiting firepower.

Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Oregon all secured top-10 recruiting classes in the 2025 cycle, while Penn State and USC are surging ahead in 2026.

The Nittany Lions currently rank No. 8 in the class, and Lincoln Riley’s Trojans lead the nation with the No. 1 overall spot.

Arrington is expected to be one of the most sought-after recruits in recent memory, and he’s already begun mapping out his next steps.

Four official visits are on the calendar for this spring and summer, with stops set for Penn State (May 2), Texas A&M (June 5), Oregon (June 13), and USC (June 17).

With elite speed, proven production on both sides of the ball, and national recognition as a two-sport star, Arrington is shaping up to be the centerpiece of whichever program wins the race for his commitment.

Where do you think he will end up???
