With Trade Rumors Swirling, Davante Adams Breaks Silence On What The Future Holds For Him … Does He Still Want Out Of Vegas??

Las Vegas Raiders star receiver Davante Adams has been one of the most talked-about players in the NFL over the past few seasons.

His dominant tenure with the Green Bay Packers surprisingly ended without a single Super Bowl appearance.

He of course wound-up on his childhood team, the Raiders … Initially paired up with his close friend and college quarterback Derek Carr – we all know how that turned out…

With rumors long swirling of his unhappiness with the organization, many have linked Adams with move to the New York Jets.

After all, Adams by all accounts remains on great terms with quarterback Aaron Rodgers and we all know there’s nothing Rodgers would love more than to reunite with the reliable Adams.

However, Adams has put an end to all of the speculation – at least temporarily.

Speaking to The Athletic, Adams emphasized his loyalty to the Raiders and approval of the direction the franchise is heading in with new head coach Antonio Pierce now in charge.

“If I wanted to be gone, I’d be gone by now … This is where I want to be,” Adams confidently said.

Adams remains one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

At 31-years-old, his best days may be a tad behind him, but anything he’s lost in explosiveness he’s gained in experience.

Despite Adams’ positive comments, he has to be a little worried about the Raiders quarterback situation.

The Carr saga in Vegas ended ugly. As did the Jimmy G saga … Aidan O’Connell flashed at times last season, but most people don’t consider him to be a long-term answer at the position.

The Raiders did sign the ultra-popular Gardner Minshew in free agency.

According to Tony Pauline of SportsKeeda, Pierce and general manager Tom Telesco aren’t on the same page when it comes to addressing the quarterback position.

“There’s also been talk about the Las Vegas Raiders wanting to move up for a quarterback. The latest completely from Raiders draft meetings is that head coach Antonio Pierce wants to trade up for a signal caller, yet general manager Tom Telesco is leaning heavily toward sticking with second-year quarterback Aidan O’Connell and free-agent signing Gardner Minshew,” Pauline reported.

Currently sitting with the #13 overall pick in next week’s draft, the Raiders would need to trade up to ensure they’re in position to draft one of the top quarterbacks.

Pierce is said to be very interested in LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Pierce knows him well due to their time together at Arizona State before Daniels transferred to the Tigers.

What do you think the Raiders should do at quarterback?

O’Connell has shown enough to at least have the chance to compete for the starting job. Meanwhile, it seems like all Minshew does is find ways to win and make everyone around him better.

Minshew may have a “ceiling” as a quarterback, but he sure is fun to watch.

Do you believe Adams when he says he wants to stay in Vegas?

Do you think he’s still frustrated with the direction of the organization? … Or have all the good vibes that Pierce has brought changed his mind?

Is Adams still a top-three wide receiver in the league?

How many more years does he have left at a truly elite level???
