Which College Football Programs Spend The Most On Recruiting?

The Georgia Bulldogs just capped off back-to-back national championships to officially take the baton from Alabama as the kings of the college football.

If you think Georgia’s recruiting budget would be reflective of that, well, you’d be right.

Here are the five college football programs who spent the most on recruiting during the 2022 fiscal year, according to USA Today…

#5. Alabama Crimson Tide: $2.32 Million

#4. Texas Longhorns: $2.44 Million

#3. Tennessee Volunteers: $2.92 Million

#2. Texas A&M Aggies: $2.98 Million

#1. Georgia Bulldogs: $4.5 Million

Michigan was sixth with $2.24 million spent, before a steep drop-off with no others exceeding the $1.85 million mark.

These numbers only cover transportation, lodging and meal costs occurred during recruiting trips – as well as relevant phone charges and postage.

In other words, nothing NIL related…
