WATCH: Video Of High School Micah Parsons Playing Running Back Is Exactly What You’d Expect

Entering his third season in the NFL, Micah Parsons is already making a name for himself as one of the premier defensive players in the league.

The Dallas Cowboys linebacker has been a force to be reckoned with, amassing an impressive resume in his 33 games with the franchise, including 26.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.

As Parsons and his Cowboys get set to take on the New York Giants in tonight’s season opener at MetLife Stadium, what better time to take a look back at the pure destruction Parsons caused back in high school.

A video of the 24-year-old star being featured as a running back during his high school days has gone viral on social media. NFL Films, in a sneak peek into their series “A Football Life,” shared the video, providing a glimpse into just how dominant Parsons was in his earlier days.

In the clip, Parsons can be seen showcasing his impressive speed and agility, traits that have undoubtedly contributed to his success in the NFL.

“@MicahhParsons11 really scored a touchdown every 4 carries as a high school rusher #AFootballLife: Origins – Micah Parsons is streaming now on NFL+”

Parsons would of course go on to become a star at Penn State before being drafted by Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys.

As he enters his third season in the league, the expectations are sky-high for Parsons to continue his trajectory.

You can count Parsons as one of the many defensive stars who are thrilled at the massive five-year, $170 million extension that Nick Bosa just signed with the 49ers. The deal resets the market for game-breaking defensive players.

Parsons is hungry for a monstrous contract of his own. He’s also focused on trying to take the Cowboys back to the promised land.

Where does Parsons rank among the best defensive players in the NFL?

How will the Cowboys do this season?

Are they legitimate Super Bowl contenders?
