WATCH: Russell Wilson Has Officially Unveiled His Brand-New Steelers “Rallying Cry” & Fans Can’t Get Enough Of It!!

In somewhat of a surprise, the Pittsburgh Steelers are putting all of their eggs in the Russell Wilson basket. (Imagine saying that a year ago???)

By all accounts, the Steelers are handing the keys to Wilson who is desperately seeking to resurrect his career.

Wilson is well-known for a few different things…

His spectacular success with the Seattle Seahawks speaks for itself. Just as noticeable was his unpresented drop-off and fall-from-grace with the Denver Broncos. Off the field, he’s married to musician Ciara.

However, Wilson is also well-known for another thing: his corniness.

I don’t mean that in a bad way. All of his famous sayings and “rallying cries” are as entertaining as they are cringy. It’s just part of his unique personality.

All of this is why many fans were anxious to see what his new saying would be now that he’s a Pittsburgh Steelers.

Luckily, we didn’t have to wait too long to find out…

Retiring his infamous “Broncos Country, let’s ride!” chant, Wilson has opted to go with an oldie-but-a-goodie with the Steelers: “Here we go!”

The Steelers official fight song, “Here We Go!” written by Roger Wood in 1994, has seen several iterations over the years to reflect changes in players and team dynamics.

Wilson’s signing comes on the heels of his release from the Broncos, with the Steelers quickly snatching up the nine-time Pro Bowler on a one-year deal.

Initial expectations were for Wilson to compete with 2022 first-round pick Kenny Pickett for the starting spot. However, Pittsburgh decided to trade Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles, due in large part to his reported disgust with the Wilson signing.

Needless to say, fans were quite outspoke about Wilson’s new rallying cry…

“No matter where he goes he’s always cringe gotta respect it.”

“That dude is pure cringe all the time.”

“Everything doesn’t have to feel like a catch phrase. He continues to come off as the most disingenuous player in the NFL.”

“Steelers Nation, let’s mill some steel or whatever they say.”

“Dak and Russell Wilson fighting for who says HERE WE GO more this season…”

“I love him already.”

“Wait till he throws his first pick, and we will see how much you Steelers fans love him.”

“Why is he like this?”

“I mean, I’m okay with the Steelers acquiring him without any cost, but he’s a bit weird ngl.”

What are your thoughts on the Steelers signing Wilson?

Do you look at it as a low-risk, high-reward type of move?

How much does he have left in the tank?

Will he be able to ever resemble the “old Russell Wilson” that we became accustomed to in Seattle? … Or are those days long gone???
