Last weekend provided us with one of the most memorable scenes of the entire season when Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton absolutely shredded quarterback Russell Wilson to pieces on the sideline.
It all stemmed from a penalized goal-line play gone horribly wrong.
I personally wouldn’t have taken that disrespect. Russell Wilson should’ve swung at Sean Payton honestly #BroncosCountry pic.twitter.com/tEl7xVHfDO

After the game, everyone wanted to know what exactly Payton’s blowup was about.
Of course, the first year Denver coach didn’t offer much of an explanation and ultimately told the media that it’s “none of your business.”
Sean Payton said when he was yelling on the sideline on the direction of Russell Wilson, he was “upset about the call,” referring to the offsides penalty, and not yelling at Wilson.
He added later, “What I talk with Russell about is none of your business.” pic.twitter.com/AxVgk9Qmiq

But how did Russell Wilson feel about the whole situation???
What are his thoughts on being undressed in front of the world by his coach???
Well, he’s finally spoke about the embarrassing scene … But unfortunately, he didn’t offer much information either.
“I don’t really pay attention to it,” Wilson calmly told reporters. “I was there.”

Payton also downplayed the incident, attributing it to the intensity of the game.
“Nothing more to share,” he said. “It certainly, you know, in-game intensity, heat of the moment, all of those things. But nothing more to add.”
When asked about his relationship with Wilson, Payton claimed to have a “great relationship” with the highly-paid quarterback. However, many fans remain skeptical, as this wasn’t the first time the two clashed heads.

Up next for the Broncos is a Christmas Eve clash against the New England Patriots.
As far as Payton and Wilson, what are your thoughts on the situation?
Heated moments happen all the time in sports, especially football … While it’s true that these type of confrontations on the sidelines are becoming more rare, they still do happen.
You also have to keep in mind that Payton comes from the Bill Parcells tree – the two are extremely close … And no one loved a good old fashioned sideline blowup more than Parcells.
Having said that, do you think there are deeper issues with the Payton-Wilson relationship?
Will Payton and the Broncos soon be moving off Wilson at quarterback???
