In a career filled with remarkable achievements, Patrick Mahomes added another milestone to his NFL journey last Sunday, playing his first-ever playoff game on the road.
Mahomes led the underdog Kansas City Chiefs to an extremely impressive 27-24 victory over the Buffalo Bills.
Despite the challenges of facing a hostile environment on the road in frozen Buffalo, Mahomes helped Kansas City punch their ticket to a remarkable SIXTH straight AFC Championship Game appearance.
Leading up to the game, Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins offered a sarcastic wish of luck to the Chiefs in their first experience playing in front of the passionate Bills Mafia.
“Pat has never been to the Bills stadium in full … The environment will be different and not to say it’s in our favor, but the stadium is our favor. Stadium is us. That helps us … So good luck,” Dawkins said prior to the game.
Dion Dawkins: "Mahomes has never been to the Bills stadium in full effect. He has no idea what our fans look like in person."

Unfortunately for Dawkins, we all know how the game turned out…
To the victor goes the spoils – and Mahomes took full advantage to throw shade right back at the Bills…
“They asked for it and they got what they asked for! But [Travis Kelce] said it … This sh*t ain’t done! We come back next week ready to go!” Mahomes said to the team in the locker room after the win.

Dawkins’ words became bulletin board material for Mahomes and the Chiefs, with the quarterback throwing the tackle’s well wishes back in his face with a celebratory Instagram post captioned, “Good luck.”

Looking ahead, Mahomes and the Chiefs will now head to Baltimore to face the #1 seeded Ravens.
Interestingly, they are once again in the underdog role.
No, things haven’t gone perfectly smooth for Kansas City this season – but you’d be foolish to doubt these guys come Sunday.
What’s your prediction for the game? … Will the Chiefs get back to the Super Bowl? … Or will the Ravens be the ones to finally knock them off???
