New York Yankees ace pitcher Gerrit Cole often finds himself at the center of attention.
Known for being private and downright shy at times, Cole doesn’t crave the spotlight. But thanks to his dominance on the mound, he is often a focal point.
Unfortunately for Yankees fans, they won’t be seeing Cole on the mound for a while due to a concerning elbow injury.

While traveling to Los Angeles to visit the famous Dr. Neal ElAttrache, Cole was unwillingly the center of attention once again.
A “reporter” spotted him on the street and proceeded to hound him with questions…
“How you doing man? How you holding up?” the reporter can be heard asking in the video. “Are you all right? How’s your health? Gerrit, anything you can say to the fans? The fans are considered about the opener. Is there anything you can say to the fans?”

Of course, these types of videos are all over TMZ and most of the time celebrities participate in a little back and forth.
But Cole has no time for that nonsense … He ignored the reporter and continued on with his day.
Needless to say, the baseball world was even more annoyed at the reporter than the mild-mannered Cole was.

Could Cole have tossed the “reporter” a bone? Sure … But hey, at least he didn’t pull a Randy Johnson!

Despite initial scans not revealing a tear in Cole’s ulnar collateral ligament, concerns persist, prompting Cole to schedule the visit with Dr. ElAttrache.
He’s expected to miss at least 1-2 months with the injury.

The Bombers will surely miss him on the mound. Arguably the best pitcher in all of baseball, Cole is coming off an outstanding 2023 season that saw him post a 15-4 record with a 2.63 ERA and 222 strikeouts.
His spectacular season resulted with him winning the American League Cy Young Award.

What’s your take on Cole’s (non)reaction to the street reporter?
More importantly, how concerned are you about his injury?
Do you think there could potentially be a deeper issue?
When should we expect to see him back on the mound?
Is he indeed the best pitcher in all of baseball???

What do we know?
There reportedly is NOT a tear in his UCL, but there is enough concern for him to fly to LA to get evaluated by
