WATCH: Fan Sets Record For Longest Security Evasion In Baseball History

You never want to encourage anyone from interrupting a game and running around on the field like an idiot. However, what one fan did earlier this week at Comerica Park was downright impressive.

At Wednesday’s Twins-Tigers game at Comerica Park, a bold fan managed to elude security officers for an entire two-minutes before ultimately surrendering.

Sporting a vibrant yellow jersey with the number 69 emblazoned on its back, the unidentified fan suddenly and abruptly burst onto the field.

Displaying an impressive combination of agility and speed, the fan weaved through a maze of security guards, leaving them grasping at thin air.

Needless to say, the guards weren’t in the best of shape, and that’s something Comerica Park should take a closer look at.

One guard was able to execute a textbook tackle on the fan once he surrendered, so he does deserve a few brownie points for that.

It goes without saying that venturing onto the field violates both Comerica Park policy and a City of Detroit Ordinance. As a result, the fan is likely to face disciplinary measures, including an arrest, fines, and legal proceedings.

Most people enjoy watching a good field storming every once in a while, especially when it’s comical and harmless.. This was definitely one of the better ones.

If you keep track of such things, what is your favorite fan-on-the-field incident of all-time?
