Remarkably, the Kansas City Chiefs have punched their ticket to their sixth straight AFC Championship Game.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes skillfully avoided the Buffalo Bills relentless pass rush throughout the game, leading the Chiefs to a hard-fought 27-24 victory.
The star quarterback’s evasion skills were put to the test not just during the game, but after it as well – as Bills fans showered him with snowballs as he attempted to leave the field.

As Mahomes greeted Chiefs fans before departing Highmark Stadium, he had to dodge a barrage of snowballs launched by disgruntled Bills fans who were angered over their devastating season-ending loss.

As usual, Mahomes was brilliant when the lights were brightest. He was 17-23 for 215 yards and two touchdowns – both hauled in by tight end Travis Kelce.
The Mahomes-Kelce duo etched their names in postseason history by setting a new record for the most touchdowns by a quarterback-receiver pair, surpassing the legendary combination of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.
“It speaks to Travis and his work, to be able to go out there and make plays in big games,” Mahomes said. “Passing anything that has Brady and Gronk in it is special. Because those are two of the greatest players.”

The dramatic victory over Buffalo advances the Chiefs to the AFC Championship Game where they will take on the #1 seeded Baltimore Ravens.
For the second straight week, the Chiefs will enter as underdogs. Mahomes knows Sunday won’t be easy, especially on the road.
“There’s no weakness there,” Mahomes acknowledged regarding the Ravens. “It’s going to take our best effort. Defense, offense, special teams, they do it all. It’s always a great challenge and that stadium’s going to be rocking, so we’re excited for the challenge.”
