Vikings Could Be In Big Trouble After Latest Jordan Addison Update

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has been charged with two misdemeanors nearly a month after his arrest in Los Angeles for suspected driving under the influence.

According to reports, Addison’s legal troubles could lead to at least a potential three-game suspension under NFL rules.

The 22-year-old was found asleep at the wheel near Los Angeles International Airport on July 12.

Police reports indicated that he was under the influence of alcohol, with a blood-alcohol content exceeding California’s legal limit of 0.8 percent.

If convicted or if he pleads guilty, Addison could face up to six months in jail, fines up to $2,000, or a six-month suspension of his driver’s license.

This incident follows a previous legal issue for Addison, who was cited for speeding and reckless driving in Minnesota last year after being clocked at 140 miles per hour in St. Paul.

Additionally, his arrest came less than a week after his teammate, Khyree Jackson, was killed in a car crash caused by a suspected drunk driver in Maryland.

During the Vikings’ training camp, Addison acknowledged the situation, stating he would accept “whatever disciplinary actions come my way.”

Head coach Kevin O’Connell also indicated that he would address the off-field incidents with Addison, a 2023 first-round draft pick.

According to the NFL’s substance abuse policy, a first criminal offense related to alcohol use can result in a three-game suspension, provided there are no aggravating factors that would warrant further discipline.

Despite his legal issues, Addison remains a key player for the Vikings.

When available, he is expected to play a significant role in the team’s offense alongside Pro Bowl wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

In his rookie season, the former USC star recorded 70 catches for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns, establishing himself as a reliable target.

What type of punishment – if any – do you think will end up being handed down to Addison???
