VIDEO: Tennessee’s Joe Milton Steals The Show At The Manning Academy

Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton stole the show at the prestigious Manning Passing Academy, leaving fans, media, and even NFL legend Peyton Manning himself in awe of his remarkable arm strength and talent.

Before even setting foot on the field, Milton had already garnered significant attention and anticipation and was described as the talk of the event.

The anticipation was justified as Milton wowed spectators by unleashing a jaw-dropping throw that traveled an astonishing 80 yards in the air.

Milton, who transferred from the University of Michigan, began the 2021 season as the starting quarterback for the Tennessee Volunteers. Unfortunately, an ankle injury in Week 2 resulted in him being overtaken by Hendon Hooker.

However, fate intervened as Hooker suffered a torn ACL late in the 2022 season, paving the way for Milton’s return to the starting lineup.

In the Vols’ final two games, including their impressive Orange Bowl victory over Clemson, Milton showcased his skills by throwing for an impressive 398 yards and four touchdowns.

Not only did Milton’s performance captivate the media, fans, and fellow campers, but it also earned him high praise from none other than Peyton Manning himself.

The NFL legend, who was present at the Manning Passing Academy, couldn’t help but admire Milton’s prowess on the field.

“He was throwing with my son Marshall (last Thursday), and I mean 40 yards is like a little flick for him,” Manning remarked. “Just a warm-up. Had a good visit with him. I’ve enjoyed getting to know Joe.”

“He texts occasionally. Pull hard for him, and boy really proud of him coming in last year after Hendon’s injury. He kept things together and a great bowl win.”

With his outstanding performances and commendations, Milton is gaining attention as a potential first-round pick in next year’s NFL Draft.

Over the course of his two years at Tennessee, he has accumulated impressive stats, throwing for 1,346 yards, 12 touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

If Milton continues to shine and maintains his form throughout the 2023 season, the talented quarterback from Pahokee, Florida, could solidify his position as a top prospect and join the conversation for a coveted first-round selection in the NFL Draft.

We’ll see if he can continue this momentum when the season starts for real.
