Video: Jerry Rice’s Son Makes An Impressive Catch At The Senior Bowl

Jerry Rice, renowned for his legendary catches in the NFL, seems to have passed the torch of acrobatic receptions to his son, Brenden Rice, as the young wide receiver gears up for an NFL career.

Brenden Rice, fresh off his final year at USC, is turning heads at the Senior Bowl. During a practice session on Tuesday, he left scouts and onlookers impressed with a remarkable catch that showcased his agility and skill.

In a play that saw him break free from Penn State defensive back Johnny Dixon, Rice exhibited his athleticism by making a sliding catch, even as Dixon tried to hinder him towards the end of his route.

Following his standout senior season at USC in 2023, where he recorded career-high statistics of 45 receptions, 791 receiving yards, and 12 touchdowns, the 6’3″ receiver is now poised to enter the NFL Draft.

Despite having one more year of college eligibility remaining, Rice has decided to take the leap into the NFL after an outstanding senior year, during which he established himself as a reliable playmaker for the Trojans in his second season.

Rice initially began his college football journey with the Colorado Buffaloes, spending his first two years there before transferring to USC.

While current draft projections place Brenden Rice as a day two pick in the upcoming April Draft, his combination of size and skill suggests that he has the potential to make a significant impact in the right team setting.

The 2024 NFL Draft class boasts several promising wide receivers, including Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr., the son of another NFL legend in Marvin Harrison.
