UCLA Quarterback Dante Moore Confirmed To Enter Transfer Portal

UCLA’s young quarterback, Dante Moore, is set to make a move into the transfer portal, as confirmed by a source to ESPN. Moore, a highly-rated prospect from Detroit in the 2023 class, originally committed to Oregon but later opted for UCLA, where he signed with the Bruins.

In his debut season as a true freshman, Moore had the opportunity to showcase his talent in nine games. During this time, he accumulated 1,610 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. However, Moore shared playing time with redshirt junior Ethan Garbers, who contributed 964 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and three interceptions. The quarterback position for UCLA also saw appearances by transfer Collin Schlee as the team sought consistency in a challenging season.

Notably, Moore had attracted interest from several schools, including Michigan State, Texas A&M, LSU, Miami, and Michigan, in addition to Oregon and UCLA. On3 initially reported Moore’s intention to explore the transfer portal, marking a significant development in his college football journey.
