Tyreek Hill Sends Grim Warning To Former Team As Dolphins Look To Run Chiefs Off The Field

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is set to face his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, this Sunday in Germany.

It will mark his first encounter against his former team since his trade to the Dolphins last offseason.

Most of the players – including Hill – wish the showdown was being played at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City and not across the pond.

However, he knows it doesn’t matter where the game is played – the only thing that matters is winning (and in Hill’s case – dominating).

“It doesn’t really matter where we play at … I mean, obviously it would’ve been great to play in K.C., but it really doesn’t matter where we play at, you feel me? … They going to get this work wherever though,” Hill said.

With 1,014 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns, Hill is on pace to eclipse the 2,000 yard mark – a number once thought impossible.

Reflecting on his departure from Kansas City, Hill acknowledged his satisfaction with how everything worked out (although he did admit that his initial intention was to stay with the Chiefs).

“I’m kind of glad that [the trade] happened,” Hill admitted. “Obviously the situation that I’m in is great. I’ve got great teammates. My family is from Miami, and also, I accomplished one of my goals of being one of the highest paid in the league. So, everything’s great. Life is great.”

“Never can take anything for granted. I can’t look back. Always got to look forward. That’s my mindset,” he added.

It will surely be a fun game on Sunday and Hill knows there will be plenty of trash talk to go along with all the expected fireworks.

“It is going to be trash talk, but it’s going to be fun though,” he said. “It’s going to be like, ‘I want to see you do good, but we going to bust your ass at the same time, though.’ It is going to be one of those things like backyard football with your brothers.”

Reflecting on his time with the Chiefs, Hill acknowledged the significant role the team played in his development, attributing his success to the valuable experiences garnered during his tenure.

“I just look back at that time and just say, ‘Man, he’s just a young guy just trying to find himself in the league,'” Hill reflected.

“I was able to learn from so many guys, was able to mature so fast because I was able to step into a receiver role. It was a lot, and I kind of took that on and I didn’t look back.”

“The coaching staff trusted me there, and I absolutely loved every minute of it. I wouldn’t take none of it back.”

Who do you think will win – Kansas City or Miami???
