Travis Hunter Reveals Key Factor Behind Colorado’s Challenges In Deion Sanders’ Debut Season

Colorado’s Travis Hunter, who made a significant impact on both sides of the ball last year, particularly in the standout game against TCU, reflected on his team’s performance and offered insights into the challenges they faced during the season. The Buffaloes started the season strong with three consecutive wins, garnering support from fans and observers. However, their momentum took a hit when Hunter suffered a lacerated liver in a game against Colorado State, and the team struggled to regain their form, ending the season with a 4-8 record.

Hunter shared his perspective on the team’s ups and downs in the final episode of Amazon’s ‘Coach Prime.’ He acknowledged the talent on the team but emphasized the difficulty of bringing it all together, especially considering the limited time they had with the coaching staff.

“We didn’t get what we wanted,” Hunter commented, highlighting the team’s efforts to unite and perform cohesively. “We tried our best to get a lot of guys to come in as one, and that’s kind of hard to do, knowing that we got a lot of talent but we weren’t able to put it all together and have years under our belt with the coaches. So, we just gotta do better next year with bonding.”

Meanwhile, Coach Prime, Deion Sanders, recognized the team’s challenges, particularly in the offensive line, and has been proactive in addressing them by bringing in new personnel. Building team cohesion will be crucial for their success in the upcoming season as they aim to improve upon their previous performance.
