Top 5 Conference Matchups Of The 2023 College Football Season

It’s never too early to start looking forward to the 2023 college football season.

Here’s a look at the top 5 biggest and best conference matchups of the upcoming season…

#5. Florida State @ Clemson: 9/23

The two best programs in the ACC.

Death Valley welcomes Heisman contender Jordan Travis and the Seminoles for a showdown with potential playoff implications.

Is Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik ready to follow in the footsteps of Trevor Lawrence?

#4. USC @ Oregon: 11/11

With respect to Washington, these look to be the two best teams in the Pac 12.

Oregon quarterback Bo Nix surprised some people by deciding to return to Eugene for one final season.

Nix will not only be looking to win a national championship – but also the Heisman Trophy (which USC quarterback Caleb Williams won last season).

#3. Georgia @ Tennessee: 11/18

One of the biggest matchups of last season changes settings this coming November.

We’ll head up to Rocky Top to see if the Vols have what it takes to knock off the back-to-back national champions.

A good old-fashioned rivalry with both SEC implications and playoff implications.

#2. LSU @ Alabama: 11/4

In what has become one of the best rivalries in all of sports, this November’s edition of Tigers-Tide will take place in front of a sea of red in Tuscaloosa.

There is absolutely no doubt that Brian Kelly’s mission is to dethrone Nick Saban as the SEC West king.

But to say Saban and the Tide will be hungry to avenge last season’s devastating defeat in Baton Rouge would be the understatement of the century.

#1. Ohio State @ Michigan: 11/25

Much like every other matchup on this list, this is a heated rivalry which will no doubt have Heisman implications, conference title implications as well as playoff implications.

But Michigan-Ohio State is more than that… Michigan-Ohio State is THE game.

Jim Harbaugh has done what some thought was impossible – He has taken control of this series, having won two in a row over his rival Ryan Day.

Harbaugh has a chance to make it three in a row – and this time, the meeting will come in Ann Arbor.

Get your popcorn ready…
