Tom Brady has acknowledged what many suspected when he threw the Lombardi Trophy during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl parade – he was a bit tipsy. In a conversation with former teammate Rob Gronkowski on the ‘Let’s Go’ podcast, Brady admitted that he had consumed a couple of drinks and didn’t fully consider the potential consequences of tossing the Lombardi Trophy from one boat to another.

Gronkowski humorously noted, “You had two drinks and were like, ‘Oh, I’m feeling it.'”
Brady concurred, saying, “I was definitely inebriated because had I not been, I don’t think I would’ve taken the chance realizing that thing would’ve fallen like 90 ft. to the bottom of the bay.”
While Brady’s daring throw might have been a bit nerve-wracking, his teammates managed to make the catch, saving the Lombardi Trophy from an aquatic mishap.
