The Georgia Bulldogs are the #1 ranked team in college football.
As back-to-back defending national champions, they have certainly earned their spot on top of the polls. Until they are beat, how can you possibly punish them?
Well, not everyone agrees with that statement … At the top of the list being FOX Sports’ Tim Brando.
Brando took to X to express his candid opinions about how the Bulldogs have been playing compared to the other top teams in the nation.
“[Georgia] has no business being #1. SEC West is wide open. 2 loss team might win it. Defense optional in Oxford. [Alabama] in trouble with the Aggies this week. Big W for the Lane [Train]. [LSU] done Nationally, but alive in the League race. [Kentucky] 2nd best team in the East!” Brando posted.
My God Daughters engagement Party was today & tonight in Texarkana and since we had a Friday night game I was able to fly in and attend. So, I missed a lot of the mayhem today and tonight. Quick take always @GeorgiaFootball has no business being #1. @SEC West is wide open. 2 loss…

The Bulldogs managed to secure a 27-20 victory over the Auburn Tigers in a hard-fought game at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
However, it was far from a dominant performance for Kirby Smart’s team, prompting Brando’s critical assessment.
While the Bulldogs emerged victorious, they struggled throughout the game and faced more resistance from Auburn than many had anticipated.
Brock Bowers, arguably the best player in all of college football, saved the day for Georgia … It was also a coming-of-age game of sorts for new quarterback Carson Beck.
Regardless, the less-than-perfect performance left Brando questioning their claim to the #1 ranking in the country.
The Bulldogs have a massive game tonight when they welcome in an undefeated Kentucky team that’s hungry to shock the world.
You can bet Smart will have his team ready for the challenge as their quest for a 3-peat continues.
What do you think of Brando’s take?
Do you think Georgia should still be ranked #1?
