Two-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes is set to lead the Kansas City Chiefs in their pursuit of becoming the first team to ever pull off a Super Bowl three-peat.
Before the playoffs and potential Super Bowl, Mahomes and the two-time defending champion Chiefs must concentrate on the 17 games of the regular season.
Interestingly, in a recent post on the NFL’s X account, Mahomes was asked which opponent he was “most excited” to face.
Without missing a beat, he named the Las Vegas Raiders.
“I’m always really excited to play the Raiders,” Mahomes said. “It’s always a great game. We always have a fun time when we go against each other.”
The rivalry between the Chiefs and Raiders is known for its heated intensity, and the 2023 season was no exception.
During their Week 16 clash last year, the Raiders delivered a shocking upset, knocking off the Chiefs in a pivotal Christmas Day matchup.
This defeat cost Kansas City the top seed in the AFC, marking the first time in Mahomes’ career that he had to play an away game in the playoffs.

The 2024 matchups between the two rivals promise to be intriguing.
