THE RICH GET RICHER??: This Major Program Is Reportedly The Favorite To Land Star QB Transfer Jaden Rashada … But Is He Worth The Hype??

Jaden Rashada made headline news (once again) by announcing his decision to transfer from Arizona State.

Those who follow recruiting are very familiar with Rashada as his story has been quite a rollercoaster ride.

Regarded as one of the top high school recruits in his class, Rashada initially committed to the Miami Hurricanes. He ended up flipping to the Florida Gators after securing a massive $13 million NIL deal – or so he thought…

The NIL deal apart which not only led to Rashada ditching Florida but also an NCAA investigation into the Gators and their recruiting practices.

(Wild times we’re living in, huh?)

Rashada eventually ended up at Arizona State, which he presumably used as a stepping-stone to get to a bigger program.

Now available and up for grabs in the portal, several top programs are said to be interested in Rashada.

So, where will he end up???

According to Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, it’s none other than the Georgia Bulldogs who have emerged as the favorites to land Rashada.

“Multiple sources have indicated Georgia is a school to watch,” their report stated. “The Bulldogs have tried adding more depth to their QB room for much of the offseason, and going to Athens would provide Rashada a runway to sit and learn for a year behind established starter Carson Beck.”

“If Rashada were to end up at Georgia, it’d be a situation very akin to Dante Moore, a fellow 2023 recruit, picking Oregon and choosing to sit and learn behind Dillion Gabriel for a year.”

Beck will enter the 2024 season as the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. Obviously, he is the unquestioned starter in Athens as he tries to get the Dawgs back to the national title game.

Backup quarterback Brock Vandagriff transferred to Kentucky earlier this offseason. Meanwhile, former top five-star recruit Dylan Raiola ended up flipping his commitment to Nebraska in a move long-feared by Bulldog fans.

Georgia’s current backup quarterbacks include Gunner Stockton and incoming freshman Ryan Puglisi.

Needless to say, Rashada’s departure marks a significant loss for Arizona State as they transition to the Big 12 Conference.

Although, his decision to enter the portal most likely didn’t come as a surprise to the Sun Devils.

What are your thoughts on Rashada as a quarterback?

Is he as elite as what some people make him out to be?

Where do you think he will end up?

Is he Kirby Smart’s quarterback of the future???
