The Always Outspoken Lane Kiffin Doesn’t Hold Back His Honest Thoughts On The Michigan Scandal

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin has joined the chorus of voices expressing concern over the recent sign-stealing scandal involving the University of Michigan’s football program.

In a recent appearance on “SportsCenter,” Kiffin didn’t mince his words when discussing the gravity of the accusations leveled against head coach Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan program.

“Obviously they happen in games and coaches talk to each other, but that’s a whole other animal, the accusations there,” Kiffin emphasized.

“That would dramatically change how you perform as a team and dramatically change what your record would be. I don’t know any details of it, but those would be severe things if those were true.”

Kiffin’s remarks reflect the growing apprehension within the college football world, as the allegations against Michigan appear to be of a different magnitude compared to typical sign-stealing practices.

The controversy escalated last weekend when Michigan staffer Connor Stalions voluntarily stepped down from his position amidst mounting accusations.

Stalions’ attorney, Brad Beckworth, issued a statement clarifying the reasons behind his client’s resignation and absolving the coaching staff of any involvement in the alleged misconduct.

“As he informed the school earlier today, Connor chose to resign because recent stories regarding his time with the University of Michigan have created a distraction for the team,” Beckworth’s statement read.

“He hopes his resignation will help the team and coaching staff focus on tomorrow’s game and the remainder of the season. Connor also wants to make it clear that, to his knowledge, neither Coach Harbaugh, nor any other coach or staff member, told anyone to break any rules or were aware of improper conduct regarding the recent allegations of advanced scouting.”

The NCAA’s investigation is ongoing.

What do you make of the whole situation?

Looking at the big picture, what do you think will end up happening to Harbaugh and Michigan???
